Last Monday night our Camera Club’s Christmas breakup and Awards night was held.
The Awards night honors those who have entered monthly competitions throughout the year. Each month a different topic is chosen and members enter 2 photos each. The grades are – B, AB, A and A+.
Trophies are also given for dedication and service to the Club, and photographic skill.
This year I was thrilled to receive 1st place in the A+ Grade Digital entries for the year.
The Redland’s Camera Club held their 1st International Photographic Exhibition on the weekend of the 27th, 28th August, 2016.
We received 3500 entries with only 25% of those being accepted.
I was lucky and very happy to have received 8 acceptances and 1 Silver Medal for my photos entered.
Below are my winning images, the first being my Silver Medal photo titled “Diluvium”.
Redland’s Camera Club is hosting our 1st International Exhibition of Photography this year. It will held at the Cleveland Uniting Church Hall in Passage Street, Cleveland.
The Award Presentation and Exhibition opening will be on the 26th August at 7pm.
It will also be opened over the weekend of the 27th and 28th August. Entry is by gold coin donation.
It is also the 8th Redland’s Schools and Youth Exhibition of Photography of which I was one of the judges.

No awards this time – Next is Triptych.
We had judging last night for Creative Comp. These two images received Highly Commended. The first one I named Petrified. The second one Dreams.
Next month judging is Scapes.
Took these photos yesterday at Redland Bay on an outing with friends.
We had our first judging tonight at the Redland’s Camera Club -Open Comp A+ grade.. I received a Merit for this image “Grow Tall”. Next comp will be Creative/Experimental in March.
My husband rode the “Ride the Night” last night in Brisbane. Took off from the Gasworks at midnight. Approx 1000 riders took part. Here are just a couple of images from then.
